July 1: KANA'TA: Canada Day 2026
KANA'TA: Canada Day 2026 celebrations are taking place on Wednesday, July 1, across Halifax. Enjoy family-friendly activities and the annual Canada Day Fireworks, plus many attractions are offering free admission.

July 1 - 5: Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo
The Tattoo is back for another year at the Scotiabank Centre. Enjoy world-class military bands, pipes and drums, highland dancers, and performers from across the globe!

July 7-12: 40th Anniversary of the TD Halifax Jazz Festival
The TD Halifax Jazz Festival is celebrating 40 years this summer. Taking place from July 7-12 on the Halifax Waterfront, this year's festival features Broken Social Scene, Bahamas, and Tower of Power, PLUS, over 60% of the festival programming is FREE!

July 15-18: LatinFax 2026
Hosted by Latispánica Cultural Association, LatinFax is a vibrant showcase of Latin America's rich cultural tapestry. From vibrant music and traditional dance to mouthwatering cuisine and colorful art, the festival brings communities together to honor heritage, creativity, and connection.

July 16-19: Afrifest
Taking place at Sackville Landing on the Halifax Waterfront, Afrifest celebrates and showcases the talented diaspora from the African continent with free performances and activities.

July 16-26: Halifax Pride Festival
Halifax Pride is lighting up Downtown this July with a vibrant mix of celebration, remembrance, and unapologetic joy.🏳️🌈 This 11-day festival celebrates the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and is the largest Pride event in Atlantic Canada.

July 29-August 2: Buskers - Celebrating 40 Years
The Buskers are back on the Halifax Waterfront from July 29-August 3. This annual crowd-pleaser is also celebrating 40 years this summer, and attracts thousands to Downtown Halifax to take in all the free fun.

June 28 - July 4: The Tattoo Festival, around Downtown
The Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo offers free music and dancing around Downtown as part of The Tattoo Festival. All the Tattoo Festival events are free and open to all to attend.

July 1: The Big Sing, Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21
The Big Sing is having a FREE, all-ages show for Canada Day at 1:30 pm.
Mondays from July 6 - 27: Dancing Downtown, Queen's Marque
Join Halifax Dance for FREE movement classes on the waterfront including Aging Actively for older adults and Open Barre for the ballet enthusiasts!! 🩰

Tuesdays from July 7 - August 18: Tuesday Night Tunes, Maritime Museum of the Atlantic
The Maritime Museum of the Atlantic's annual free summer music series starts July 7 and runs to August 18, from 6:30-7:30 pm Tuesday nights. Stay tuned for more information by following @ns_mma on Instagram.
July 7 - 12: Halifax Jazz Festival's Free ProgrammingThe Halifax Jazz Festival has free concerts and jazz labs to enjoy, from daytime music on the Halifax Waterfront to free evening music at partner stages around the city.
