Dog-Friendly Downtown

Downtown Halifax loves dogs!

So much so, that in addition to all the dog-friendly patios, many shops, accommodations, and attractions (and more!) in the Downtown area will gladly welcome your pet pooch*.

Just remember to:

  • Ask if your dog is welcome first
  • Keep your dog on a leash and under control at all times
  • Clean up after your dog

Scroll down to see where you can take your pup. Please note that we are still building this list, so keep checking as the list may change and grow!

Are you a business in Downtown Halifax that welcomes dogs and you're not on this list? Let us know!

*Certified service dogs can access any location where the public is allowed. Please remember to keep your dog under control at all times while in public spaces.
