Downtown Halifax Business Commission (DHBC) is a not-for-profit organization that represents the 1600+ businesses located in the Downtown area. We run programs, events, and marketing initiatives to help make Downtown Halifax a better place to live, work, and play.

Being the 10th anniversary for the placemaking grant program, the initial call-out included ten prioritized projects, all with pre-determined locations identified.

Downtown Halifax Business Commission has unveiled Downtown Halifax Vision 2030, a report that identifies the transformational moves that will inform Downtown Halifax’s success for the future. 🏙️

The four transformational moves we identified are: Everybody’s Neighbourhood, Harbour 365, Entertainment Central, and Move Smart.

Downtown Halifax's Navigator Outreach Program offers direct support to the unhoused and precariously housed population in the urban core.
