What's on this September in Downtown Halifax

While September isn’t technically the start of a new year, it sure feels like a fresh beginning, doesn’t it?

Maybe it’s the return of the school year, the shift in routines, or the anticipation of cozy fall days just around the corner. But let’s be clear—summer is not over yet. It officially runs until September 21, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

That means there’s still plenty of time to soak up the warm weather, sunshine, and vibrant energy that fills Downtown Halifax this time of year. With exciting events, outdoor patios, and so much to explore, September is the perfect month to make the most of everything the city has to offer.

Below is a quick rundown of some things to do Downtown this month.

Did you know that September 30 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in Canada? This day honours the survivors and families of residential schools, as well as the children who never came home. Learn more about this important day here
