DELIGHTFUL DOWNTOWN Light Projection Show returns May 2022
April 29, 2022, Halifax, NS – DELIGHTFUL DOWNTOWN is coming back to the former Halifax Memorial Library building at Grafton Park. Downtown Halifax Business Commission’s (DHBC) series of vibrant light installations is returning for the month of May with two new exclusive light projection shows to celebrate Asian Heritage Month and Mother’s Day.
“We were thrilled with the overwhelmingly positive response to the DELIGHTFUL DOWNTOWN light shows during the fall and winter months,” said Paul MacKinnon, CEO of DHBC. “And we’re excited to be back with two ‘delightful’ new shows to commemorate the flourishing Asian community in Halifax and to celebrate Mother’s Day.”
The schedule for the May light projections shows, which will run from 9 – 11 pm nightly, is as follows:
- Asian Heritage Month Show – Sunday, May 1 to Tuesday, May 31, 2022
- Mother’s Day Show – Friday, May 6 to Monday, May 9, 2022
The May light projection shows came together thanks to TD Bank Group, Nick Iwaskow of Wasko AV, Advanced Systems, The Waves Project, Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM), and HRM’s Office of Diversity and Inclusion.
