About the Event

Enjoy an evening with our marine museum colleague, Jennifer Denty, as she takes you behind the scenes on a journey through the rich history of one of our community’s lesser-known museums. From its foundation in HMC Dockyard to its current temporary closure and beyond, learn about the Naval Museum of Halifax’s evolution over its past 50 years, and the exciting things yet to come.

Guest Speaker: Jennifer Denty joined the Naval Museum of Halifax as Director in 2018 and has been involved with the Museum in a variety of roles since 2009. During her tenure, she has spearheaded a total operational overhaul of the Museum from its administration to the collections management program, and under her leadership, the Museum has opened many new exhibitions and programming opportunities. Jennifer also worked at the Canadian Museum of Immigration, as Collections Manager for eight years, and has previously worked with several Museum collections, including the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, Halifax Regional Municipality, and at HMCS Sackville.

Tuesday Night Talks is open to everyone. We offer free admission from 4 pm - 8 pm. Donations to Feed Nova Scotia are welcome.
