Come celebrate 2026 together

The Halifax Regional Municipality is inviting residents to its free annual New Year’s Eve celebrations, taking place Wednesday, Dec. 31 in Grand Parade from 11:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.  Entertainment features Skratch Bastid, Lane Hall and JupiterReign. There will be a fireworks show at midnight.

This free event will include a live TV broadcast on Eastlink Community TV.  

Halifax Transit will once again be offering free, extended service from 6 p.m. onwards on Dec. 31. For detailed holiday service schedules by individual routes, visit halifax.ca/transit-nye
