Judy Gordon said - "On a recent visit to the Codroy Valley in Newfoundland, I was struck by the way the clouds seemed to embrace the Table Mountains. Their softness draped over the sloping hills, enfolding them. I thought - How can I translate that into my clay work? We never know what will inspire us to create what we make. The shape of a pear or an apple, the marks made on the sandy beach when the ocean drags the pebbles along, or the wispy beach grass blowing in the breeze. If we are curious about these things and focus on them, all sorts of paths open up to us - That’s what I’m going for here. Exploration of the things that touch me and spark my imagination. It’s a journey I revel in."
