Downtown Halifax Business Commission (DHBC) has unveiled Downtown Halifax Vision 2030, a report that identifies the transformational moves that will inform Downtown Halifax’s success for the future.
“People spoke and we listened,” says Paul MacKinnon, CEO of DHBC. “These ideas came from months of both stakeholder sessions and public engagement. The future of Downtown Halifax relies on what we envision it to be. How can we build on our successes, while investing in new signature projects?”
Downtown Halifax Vision 2030 was created by DHBC, a steering committee, and a lot of liked minded people, all sharing a passion for a successful Downtown.
“Downtown must continue its evolution from a central business district and visitor destination, to also being a place where everyone feels welcome, is easy to get to, and easy to get around once here,” says MacKinnon. "With the upcoming municipal election, we have a rare opportunity to get in front of the candidates, using the Vision to entice creativity and spark conversation."
