About the Event

The AfterWords Literary Festival is taking place from October 29 - November 5, 2023. 

The Festival brings together writers and readers in venues around Halifax. Events include a mix of readings, conversations, workshops, and celebratory activities. 

The Festival offers accessible programming and learning opportunities in order to foster a love of words, books, and stories, to help develop aspiring writers of all ages and communities, especially those historically underserved, and to inspire people of all communities to read, learn and create.
