Halifax Transit offers multiple routes into Downtown Halifax with their bus and ferry routes. Fares for one-time usage are as follows:
- Adult (ages 18-64): $3
- Senior (65+): $2.25
- Youth (ages 13-17): $2.25
- Child (ages 0-12): Free

TIP: All Halifax Transit bus and ferry services are free for people aged 65 and older every Tuesday from 10 am to 3:30 pm and after 6 pm.
Buying Tickets & Passes
There are a number of ways to pay for your transit ride including HFXGO, Halifax Transit's mobile fare payment app; purchasing tickets, monthly passes and Express XPasses from Halifax Transit's retail partners; or at municipal Customer Service Centres located in Alderney Gate (40 Alderney Drive) and Bayers Road Centre (7071 Bayers Road); OR you can pay using exact change when you board.
