Get Ready for Halifax International Fleet Week 2025! 
 

Halifax is setting sail for an unforgettable celebration—Fleet Week is back, and it's bigger and better than ever! From June 18 to 22, the waterfront will come alive with ships, sailors, and sea-loving fun as Halifax welcomes navies from around the world to our historic port city.

  • Thursday, June 19

    Official Opening – Ringing of the Bell
    •  Location: Museum Wharf (inside the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic in the event of inclement weather)
      Time: 11am - 12pm
    Pop up Concert with the Stadacona Band
    •  Location: Queen’s Marque Courtyard
      Time: 12pm - 1:30pm
    Sailor's Specials Commence (June 19-22 inclusive) 
    • Locations: Various venues, restaurants, museums and events throughout the HRM

    Dragon Boat Race

    Members-only sporting event, open to the public for viewing. Come watch races and cheer the teams on!

    • Location: Maritime Museum of the Atlantic

    Presentation Description: World War I was a truly global war, involving people from five different continents. The British and French Empires were the largest colonial empires at the time, and they led people from all corners of the world. We see this multicultural and transnational diversity reflected in the casualties that fell in Flanders Fields: they were born in at least 116 different contemporary countries. Who were these people and how did they end up in Flanders/Belgium? How were these people commemorated later, and what was the impact of the war experience on those who survived? How can we deal with the shared history of these people in the context of commemorating the First World War?

    Navy Bike Ride Halifax

    Salt air, scenic views, and a chance to win some great draw prizes at the Navy Bike Ride Halifax!

    Start/Finish Location: Shearwater Fitness and Sports Center
    Distance Options: 6K, 15K, 30K, and 37K routes along the Shearwater Flyer, Salt Marsh, and Atlantic View Trails

    Each participant receives a Navy Bike Ride t-shirt and coin.

      Distance Options: 5K and 10K
      Start Time: 9am (both distances)

    Each participant receives an official chip time, race bib, t-shirt, finishing medal and a chance to win some great draw prizes!
