Downtown Spotlight: Flora James Shop

Meet Bria Doiron, owner of Flora James Shop, a new lifestyle shop on Brunswick Street

With a background in interior decorating and visual merchandising, Bria has always been a creative individual. After completing her education in Halifax, working for local shops, studios, and influencers, she moved to Australia and worked as an au pair. Although she always dreamed of opening her own store in Downtown Halifax, it was the children’s stores she discovered abroad that inspired her to bring that dream to life.

Bria’s sister was pregnant at the time of her travels, so it was the inclusive, quality, and earth-friendly products she was searching for that landed her at these inspirational stores. It is for that reason that her store is named after her niece, Flora James. Not only does Flora James Shop sell children’s toys and books, but also thrifted, locally made products, including but not limited to pottery, skincare, home décor, and other lifestyle products.

Visit them in-store at 2011 Brunswick Street, Halifax, and stay tuned for their new workshops coming up. From bouquet arrangements to wreath making, mug painting, and more. Follow them on Instagram or visit their website at www.florajames.ca for up-to-date details and information.
