Meet Lane Braidwood, General Manager at Modspace Atlantic, an elevated co-working space in Downtown Halifax’s Queen's Marque district.
Lane grew up in British Columbia and moved to Halifax to complete a commerce degree at Dalhousie University. He worked in residential property management for four years and became increasingly invested in the city and its growth. Inspired by the vision of Queens Marque, Lane jumped at the opportunity to help open, manage, and grow Modspace Atlantic's membership, located at 1741 Lower Water Street, suite 200.
Modspace Atlantic opened in February 2023 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Armour Group. Catering to today’s evolving workspace needs, they offer members a variety of features and services including furnished private offices, dedicated desks, shared spaces, meeting rooms and breakout areas, as well as virtual memberships. Due to the high demand of flexible boutique office solutions, they have since opened two more locations in Dartmouth and Bedford. A membership at one gets you access to all locations.
Each space is custom-designed, light-filled, and equipped with a stocked kitchenette, a dedicated receptionist, and access to high-speed Wi-Fi, phone booths, meeting rooms, and more. Their Queen's Marque location is surrounded by bustling food, beverage, retail, and accommodations, allowing members to maintain a Downtown presence while enjoying waterfront views, preferred rates at the Muir Hotel, and access to their bike storage room. With members ranging from international tech groups and consulting firms to local franchises and entrepreneurs, Lane works to find solutions for a diverse range of members needs.
