The Downtown Halifax Holiday Gift Guide is back for another year! After the success of the 2023 Downtown Halifax Gift Guide which featured 104 businesses from around the Downtown and Spring Garden area, the tenth edition of this annual holiday favourite will be something you won’t want to miss out on!

Together with our friends at the Spring Garden Area Business Association (SGABA), we are once again creating and printing a magazine-style Gift Guide that will be delivered as an unaddressed mail piece by Canada Post to over 32,000 households around the Halifax/Dartmouth area – an increase of 4,000 from 2023 – in the middle of November (around the week of November 17, 2024).

Businesses are invited to purchase a half-page space in the Gift Guide for $50.00 + tax. This nominal opt-in fee will help cover printing and distribution costs.

Within the half-page ad space, participating businesses can feature up to two (2) products, services and/or experiences with photos, a short description of each item with prices (or a short description of the service(s) and/or experience(s)), and contact information (address, website, phone number, and/or social handles).

In addition to the printed version of the Gift Guide, an online version will live on downtownhalifax.ca, plus all participating businesses will receive copies of the Gift Guide, promotion on DHBC’s and SGABA’s social media platforms, and new this year, Gift Guide window decals.

To book your space in the 2024 Downtown Halifax Holiday Gift Guide, please email Allana MacDonald Mills, allana@downtownhalifax.ca, by Wednesday, October 2, at 5:00 pm. Please note that participation is on a first come, first served basis as space in the Gift Guide is limited.

The final deadline for material (photos, write-up, prices, and contact information) will be Wednesday, October 16.
