About the Event

Join Their Honours at the annual New Year's Day Levée at Government House on Thursday, January 1st. Doors will be open from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The event provides an opportunity for Nova Scotians to exchange New Year’s greetings with the lieutenant-governor and Ms. Savage, while visiting the oldest vice-regal residence in North America.

“The levée is a cherished tradition that brings Nova Scotians together in the spirit of community, friendship and renewal,” said Lt.-Gov Savage. “It is always a great joy for Darlene and I to ring in the New Year with residents and visitors to the province in this special celebration.”

Government House is located at 1451 Barrington Street. The event is free and open to the public; invitations are not required.
