Sunday March 9

Make Day! Play with Clay
Time: 1-4pm

Let’s play with clay! Bringing back a crowd-favourite, we will kick off March Break with a clay-centric Make Day. Using your hands or clay tools, this is a chance to explore air dry clay and shape it into…. a dog, tiny house, pizza or more, before painting your unique creations! Anything goes – use your imagination and get creative!   

Work independently, or with your small group, this program is great for children ages 5+ with an adult. Drop-in, included with the price of admission.

Monday March 10

Self-Guided BINGO Game
Time: 10am – 5pm

Explore the vibrant world of Maud Lewis while searching for elements in her artwork. From colourful flowers to playful animals, you’ll fill in your Bingo cards by spotting these details throughout the gallery. Complete a card and win a fun prize!

This free art experience is designed for all ages. Included in the price of AGNS admission. All kids must be accompanied by a guardian.

Tuesday March 11

Pop-Up Art Activity
Time: 11am-2pm
Location: Halifax Shopping Centre, 7001 Mumford Road

Join us for a free pop-up art-making activity at the Halifax Shopping Centre. Come make a mini sketchbook and your own button to take home! All materials are provided so let’s get creative and have some fun! 

This free art experience is designed for all ages. All kids must be accompanied by a guardian.

Wednesday March 12

Pop-Up Art Making
Time: 10am-12pm
Location: Halifax North Memorial Public Library, 2285 Gottingen St

Join us at the library for a morning of fun! We’ll help you create your own mini sketchbook or make masterpiece of art and turn it into a button you can take home!

All materials provided. This free art experience is designed for all ages. All kids must be accompanied by a guardian.

Thursday March 13

Learning to Look – Kids Art Tour
Time: 2pm

Join our educators for a guided tour for kids! We’ll lead the group through colourful exhibitions, sharing fascinating stories and inspiring them to think creatively. This fun and educational experience is designed for kids to ‘dip their toes’ into the world of art and teach them how to explore artworks on their own terms.

This tour is included in the price of AGNS admission. All kids must be accompanied by a guardian.

Friday March 14

Sketching in the Gallery
Time: 1-3pm

Join our educators to try sketching in the gallery! You’ll be inspired by the artworks in the exhibitions on view to create unique and imaginative illustrations. Use a prompt to get started or let your imagination run wild! 

All materials will be provided, and no registration required. This activity is included in the price of AGNS admission. All kids must be accompanied by a guardian.
