About the Event
The Halifax Mural Festival is a community-based art event, producing murals throughout Halifax. Over the course of a week, both well-established and emerging artists will bring colour to iconic public spaces.
This year, a special piece commemorating the 2023 North American Indigenous Games will be created by artist Jordan Bennett Art at Port of Halifax's Pier 22.
The Grafton Street lot (beside Maxwell’s Plum) will be adorned with new murals from several artists, including Anisa Francoeur, Art Pays Me (Duane Jones), Margot Durling, Donnie (Justin Fraser-Fong), and Nessy (Vanessa Thomas).
The Halifax Waterfront will also be getting a fair share of all the art fun, with murals going up near the Sands at Salter, and at the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel!
