Coiling wrists, fluid arms and percussive footwork are hallmarks of flamenco dance — a mesmerizing, soul-enriching dance form that parallels the beautiful melodies and intricate rhythms of flamenco music. Danced individually by men and women alike, flamenco is the heartbeat of a culture in which joy and sorrow are expressed through dance and music.


During this four-day course, you will be instantly immersed in the passion and intensity of flamenco! Besides learn some basic steps, you will learn the cultural essence of this beautiful art form and the relationship between the cante (singing), baile (dancing), and the compás (rhythm).

What to Wear
Clothing: whatever makes you feel good and allows you to move your arms up and around freely.
Footwear: wear shoes that hold your feet properly, which means avoid open toe and open heel (avoid sandals, slip ons, tip flops, bare feet or wedges). It is best to wear a shoe with a a bit of a heel that can make a little bit of sound. If not, a pair of sneakers should be enough.
