About the Event
Halifax Dance is committed to building a culture of inclusion. We believe that education, representation and connection is key to creating long-term change. Each week, our Dancing Downtown Project will feature a dance style that reflects our region’s diverse community of dance artists and history. In our mission, we are dedicated to the development of dance for all ages and abilities. This means ensuring that we offer classes accessible to everyone, including older adults, and those with physical or intellectual disabilities. Our trained instructors will guide participants through a series of movements; while an assistant is on hand to demonstrate a seated version for those using mobility devices as well as those who simply wish to remain seated.
