Critically acclaimed Indigenous Nova Scotian artist Alan Syliboy presents a compelling new exhibition that bridges decades of visual storytelling and artistic exploration. The show will feature a curated selection of Syliboy’s celebrated earlier works alongside a bold new series of paintings—offering visitors a rare opportunity to experience the evolution of an iconic Mi’kmaq voice in Canadian art.

Syliboy, whose distinctive style draws deeply from Mi’kmaq petroglyph traditions, oral histories, and the rhythm of natural life, has long been recognized for his ability to channel ancestral knowledge through contemporary media. His upcoming collection reflects a continuum of spirit and tradition, exploring themes of identity, resilience, and renewal through colour, symbol, and motion.
