Barrington Street welcomed a new face on its 1500 block this morning, and their name is their message: Don't Go Travel.
Don't Go Travel Agency opened its doors at 1546 Barrington Street (Suite 104), urging Haligonians to avoid the hassle and expense of travel this summer. "Why go down south when you can go Downtown?", said Jennifer Deetee, Don't Go Travel agent and company spokesperson. "Have amazing experiences without breaking the bank with a staycation in Downtown Halifax!"
The public is invited to visit Don't Go Travel, whose slogan is "No one knows here like we do!", and with the company's bright orange storefront sign across from 2 Doors Down restaurant, the location is hard to miss.
To celebrate their opening Don't Go Travel is running a contest from July 13 to August 23. People can visit the company's website to enter to win one of six weekly Downtown Halifax Staycation packages for two valued at over $900 each.
The agency will also sell Downtown Halifax staycation packages, including food, entertainment, and accommodations for two on their website starting at $369. "I'm thrilled they named the webpage after me!", said Deetee, responding to the agency's website address.
