Navigator Street Outreach Program to release key findings of 2022 HRM Point-in-Time Count
May 26, 2022 (Halifax, NS) – The Point-in-Time (PiT) Counts are community-level surveys conducted in communities across Canada to provide a snapshot of the state of homelessness on both local and national levels. The 2022 PiT Count for Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) was led by Eric Jonsson, Program Coordinator, Navigator Street Outreach Program and Downtown Halifax Business Commission. Data analyst, Charlene Gagnon, worked alongside Jonsson to create a report of the 2022 HRM PiT Count. Key findings are now ready to be shared with the public.
Virtual presentation of the HRM PiT Count results, specifically the current number of unhoused people, their demographics, and key factors that affect homelessness. Open to the general public and media. Media will have the opportunity to ask questions during the Q&A after the presentation.
