DHBC is pleased to launch the 3rd Annual Halifax Lights Festival, an eight-day celebration of the holiday season in Downtown Halifax, taking place November 30 to December 7. This year’s festivities include family-friendly events and activities that are free and open to the public, throughout the Downtown.
Argyle Street, Cornwallis Park, Scotiabank Centre, and DHBC’s storefront will host a full program of family-friendly activities and events during the day and evening, including: photos with Santa, visits from princesses and superheroes, The Big Sing, live ice-sculpting, science demonstrations, holiday concert with Keith Mullins, Silent Dance Party, Chilli Warm-Up, and a petting zoo – to name a few. Other activities and events taking place throughout the Downtown area include roaming carollers, holiday promotions, and specials at the local businesses, plus a few surprises throughout the Festival.
DHBC will be accepting monetary donations throughout the Festival for the Navigator Street Outreach Program, which will go towards supporting and helping street-involved individuals in Downtown Halifax.
