Downtown Halifax Business Commission Census Taker
Downtown Halifax Business Commission (DHBC) was formed in 1987 through the voting of the businesses and landlords in the Downtown area (generally the area between Citadel Hill and the Waterfront). There are approximately 1,300 member businesses of DHBC.
DHBC is undertaking a complete updating of its member database, and collecting some key data from its members over the next two months, including years in operation, number of employees, etc. This will entail an individual to visit each business to conduct the survey, or leave information behind for the purposes of in-person or phone follow-up. The data will then need to be inputted into DHBC’s customized database.
This position requires someone who is self-motivated, personable, friendly, with attention to detail. Experience with database management is an asset.
It is anticipated that the entire census will take roughly eight (8) weeks to complete.
