On Friday, April 26, 2019, DHBC will host a Downtown Halifax City Nature Walk from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, with participants meeting at the DHBC storefront at 1546 Barrington Street at 11:45 am. The walk is FREE and open to the public and pre-registration is not required. The Downtown Halifax City Nature Walk is part of City Nature Challenge that was created by iNaturalist, an online community and mobile application of and for nature observers. The guided tour will be led by Stephen Cushing, Landscape Architect with HRM Policy & Planning, Parks & Recreation, who will identify the different species of urban plants and trees found in the Downtown core.
