The new Board of Directors was voted in by DHBC members during the Annual General Meeting at a packed room in the Halifax Alehouse on June 28. Paul MacKinnon, DHBC Executive Director, welcomed three new board members and thanked the outgoing board members and those returning for another term.

It was a beautiful, sunny day as nearly 100 volunteers swept through Downtown Halifax for the 22nd Annual Clean Sweep, presented by Downtown Halifax Business Commission (DHBC), on June 1. In only one hour, the volunteer teams cleared Downtown of nearly 40 bags of litter -- 28 bags of garbage and 11 bags of recycling. The day served to raise awareness about the presence of litter Downtown.
