Passion for Health
Dr. Catie Gavin, has her undergraduate degree in Human Kinetics at St. Francis Xavier and graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic in 2015 from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. Dr. Gavin found her interest in the profession after a visit to a chiropractor herself while playing varsity hockey. Throughout the course of her treatment, she knew this was the profession she wanted to be in – promoting a healthy and active lifestyle to people of all ages.
After graduating from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2015, Dr. Gavin had an amazing opportunity to stay in Toronto and work for a large multidisciplinary clinic. She has worked with many athletes ranging from weekend warriors to Olympic Gold Medalists, she describes it as, “an amazing kick-start to my chiropractic career.”
“As with many East Coasters,” said Dr. Gavin. “I found myself wanting to be closer to home. With the experience I gained from working in Toronto, I decided to move to Halifax and open Knotical Chiropractic.”
The first thing that Dr. Gavin wants everyone to notice is how she treats her clients. She wants those who step into her practice to know that they are her number one priority, not just through quality care but also through active listening and providing a therapeutic environment.
What sets Knotical Chiropractic apart is the personal touch. Every patient is treated as an individual, and will never receive a cookie-cutter approach to health care. Knotical Chiropractic is evidence-based, using the most up-to-date research to develop an individualized plan that helps patients reach their health goals. Knotical Chiropractic provides many different services aside from traditional chiropractic adjustments, including Muscle Release Therapy, Cupping Techniques, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Therapy, Athletic and Performance Taping, Postural Assessments, and more.
Warm East Coast Welcome
Dr. Gavin’s favourite part about Downtown Halifax has been the hospitality she’s received. She says, “After working in a competitive city like Toronto, the people in Halifax have been overwhelmingly supportive and helpful getting Knotical Chiropractic off the ground. And, working on the beautiful waterfront is a close second!”
If you want a personal touch to your healthcare or need a place to help to get the “knots” out, be sure to take a trip to Knotical Chiropractic!
