Tunes at Noon 2019: The Blue Lane

Tunes at Noon is back for its 12th year! Tunes at Noon is a FREE summer concert series on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 pm in Grand Parade.

The Blue Lane is a Canadian power trio that creates an alternative fusion of jazz, rock, and blues. With the ability to perform dozens of original compositions, The Blue Lane has a collection of electrified magic. With a combination of guitar, bass, and drums, The Blue Lane has perfected the act of weaving together sultry vocals, intricate harmonies, guitar shreds, and tight grooves. The Blue Lane will be releasing a new album Skyland Saga | Part One: Vision. The album is scheduled to be released in the summer of 2019.

In 2018, The Blue Lane released a full-length double concept album Blue Land (Solar/Lunar). The album was nominated for Music Nova Scotia's 2018 "Jazz Recording of the Year." The jazz-inspired instrumental of the songs combined with the folk-style lyrics make for a truly unique combination…” (Maggie McLean - The East Mag, Sept 24, 2018). In 2017, The Blue Lane’s EP Blind was awarded Music Nova Scotia’s 2017 "Jazz Recording of the Year.” The title track “Blind” is featured in the American drama film Every 21 Seconds (directed by Kuba Luczkiewicz) along with The Blue Lane’s 2015 debut single.
