The Halifax Farmers’ Market, now known as the Halifax Seaport Farmers’ Market, is the oldest, continuously operating farmers’ market in North America. It was established by royal decree in 1750, just one year after the establishment of Halifax itself.
The Market has operated in several locations across the city since its inception in 1750, but moved to the Halifax Seaport in 2010 where it is now known as the Halifax Seaport Farmers’ Market , proudly hosting over 100 vendors!
