Looking for ways to #StayConnected during this time of physical distancing? Many organizations in Downtown Halifax are offering different ways to keep you engaged with the Downtown Halifax community. From online workshops to virtual tours, check out how you can 'virtually active' below.  



Argyle Fine Art has a new online art show, Artmail for Shut-Ins where everything is just $20, all the works are done on paper and easy to send in the mail. New works are being added often! Pick up an original work of art and make someone's day. Contact to purchase works and they will be in touch to arrange payment and mailing. They accept etransfers, and Visa or Mastercard. Sunday Studio Days is an online blog that looks into many of their artists' studios. Keep engaged and tune in each Sunday to see different art spaces here.

Observational Drawing is an online workshop hosted by Briana Corr Scott on Zoom. It is a two-part class, with the first session taking place Saturday, May 23 from 1:00pm-2:00pm and a follow-up session that evening from 7:00pm to 8:00pm. While the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia remains temporarily closed, their mission of connecting you with art continues. The Khyber Centre for the Arts has posted a virtual Altar Building Guide hosted by Tanisi Pooran. This YouTube workshop will give you suggestions for items to include in your altar, a step-by-step tutorial on building the altar, safety and modification tips, as well as guidance to mae an altar that reflects your personal culture and intentions.
