Chilli Warm-Up (chilli cook-off)
Join us for our 3rd Annual Chilli Warm-Up, where Downtown restaurants face off in a chilli cook-off!
From 12:00 noon - 2:00 pm, come to Argyle Street* between Sackville and Prince streets to sample numerous different kinds of chilli - for free! Once you have figured out which one you love, you can vote for your favourite and purchase a bowl for selling full bowls for $5. There will also be drinks and cornbread available to be purchased.
AND on the other side of Argyle Street betwee Blowers and Sackville, you can get your photo taken with Santa and enjoy free popcorn! PETS WELCOME!

This year’s judges are: Mayor Mike Savage; Paul MacKinnon, CEO of Downtown Halifax Business Commission; Nathalie Morin, Owner of Rousseau Chocolatier; and Donnie Berkman, Food and Beverage Manager at the Halifax Convention Centre.
AFTER the Chilli Warm-Up, follow the carollers down to the #Saltyard on the Halifax Waterfront, and enjoy the fire pits while listening to your favourite holiday carols.
*Argyle Street between Blowers and Prince streets will be closed to vehicles between 8:00 am to 5:00 pm for this event.
