Councillor Dawn Sloane, the Downtown Halifax Business Commission (DHBC) and the Halifax Regional Municipality Cultural Affairs, in association with Music Nova Scotia and Centre for Arts and Technology, are presenting the 3rd annual, free, summer concert series Tunes at Noon, featuring Nova Scotian performers from a range of musical genres.
Tunes at Noon will take place every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 12:00Noon– 1:00 pmin Grand Parade in Halifax. The series will run from July 14 to September 3, 2010.
"For three years, Tunes at Noon has supported our local music scene and enabled Grand Parade to be a destination for everyone at lunch time to eat, listen and dance!” said Councillor Dawn Sloane. “I am pleased to be part of this great initiative with DHBC, Music Nova Scotia, HalifaxRegionalMunicipality’s Cultural Affairs and the Centre of Arts and Technology as well as the musicians. Allowing our citizens and visitors to sample our amazing talent and enjoy Grand Parade is a highlight of my summer.”
